School ends for the year on X date. School begins for the next year on Y date.

In between is summer vacation. Period. Your kid does NOT have to do work during summer vacation and I don't believe it can POSSIBLY count toward a grade during the next school year.

Tell your kid's teacher (nicely) that you don't play those games. And let your kid have time off in the summer.

A life deprived of prayer is useless and futile. May God empower all the believers with supplications regardless of their religions.

I need to update my page. 2 of my kids have come back to homeschooling this year. I am currently homeschooling 4 (really 5 since my 3 year old joins in everything we do).

Like everything else, we have our good days and our bad days, but I do love it.

How funny, like the previous commenter, I also landed here after searching for a photo tagged "prayer". And as a sister in Christ, I can relate to what you're saying! I have ongoing prayer time throughout the day as well, no system and no long sessions, just praying as I feel led. And I really do think there is a gift there, for those who do it longer (or those who are so comfortable doing it aloud in a group full of folks, somewhere I'm not quite yet). But I also am reminded of the Pharisees and their many words...many words and long prayers just for the sake of it are not the "real thing". Blessings to you! =0)

Thanks for the book recommendations. I love to read, but I never really know what to read next and unless I have a book or two in line, I don't do it. You've described a couple that I think I'll enjoy. Thanks again and God bless!

I was searching for a 'prayer' photo and landed on this page. Praying for you have a fulfilling journey :-)

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

We have prayed for some people for over 25 years, and are seeing some small changes. Even your book review is a great encouragement. I think I should read this one!
